This IR Light Barrier SELF-ASSEMBLY electronic kit allows you to build your own infrared light barrier comprising a transmitter board and matching receiver board with onboard buzzer alarm.
The transmitter uses two IR LEDs to emit an infrared beam. The receiver is positioned so that it picks up the beam. The receiver activates the alarm and illuminates the LED if an object moves between the two boards and breaks the beam. The alarm turns off and resets automatically when the beam to the receiver is restored.
