The RJ-1 is a 12V Infrared (IR) Barrier Relay Board System that comprises a receiver board with mains rated relay output and a small transmitter board with a range of up to 3 metres.
The relay activates when the beam between the transmitter and receiver is broken. The relay has both NO and NC connection options.
Ideal for counting objects and people, automatic door access, object and people detection, etc...
The transmitter board should be connected to the receiver board using 2-core shielded cable (not included). Receiver board is reverse polarity protected and has screw terminal blocks for connections.
Also available in a 230Vac version RJ-101 and a version with an Output Hold Timer RJ-6.
Recommended for use indoors. For outdoor use we recommend that you use one of our RF Remote Control Systems instead.
