Control the speed of 230V AC motor using an external signal (0-10Vdc) or 10K potentiometer. Phase Angle Regulation (PAR) triac output allows you to adjust the speed of 230Vac 50Hz single-phase "universal" motor as used in power drills, vacuum cleaners, etc. 0 - 100% speed adjustment over 1024 regulation steps. 1,500 Watt maximum load rating.
Motor speed adjustment is from 0 to 100% is achieved using either an external 10K potentiometer (not included) or a 0-10V dc control signal.
Signal input operation can be set so the output is either directly or inversely proportional to the control signal.
Please see User Manual for full description.
PRODUCT SELECTION NOTES: Suitable for controlling most 230Vac 50Hz single-phase "universal" motors, light regulators, 230V signals through automatisms, etc. NOT suitable for use with synchronous AC motors, capacitor-start/run AC motors or inductive loads like halogen or PL lamps, neon, etc.. Ask the manufacturer to confirm if their motor is suitable for control using a Phase Angle Regulation (PAR) style controller BEFORE you buy this product! The motor controller should have an output load capacity at least 25% above the motors peak power requirement. Please do NOT rely on motor rating plates for power consumption figures as they often quote average not peak power. You should verify the actual peak power at start-up and under full load before selecting an appropriate size motor controller.
