New improved DIN rail mountable design with triac varistor protection
230Vac 1500 Watt AC motor speed controller allows you to adjust the speed of single-phase "universal" AC motors like those used in power drills, vacuum cleaners, etc.
Speed is controlled using PAR (Phase Angle Regulation) Triac output.
The speed adjustment range is from 33 to 98% using the potentiometer mounted on the board. An onboard trimmer is used to set the minimum speed.
The board is also suitable for use with resistive loads such as heaters or resistors.
All modules are supplied fully assembled and tested with instructions so you only need to make the necessary connections.
375W and 750W models also available in this range.
PRODUCT SELECTION NOTE: Suitable for controlling most 230Vac 50Hz single-phase "universal" motors, filament lamps, etc... NOT suitable for use with synchronous AC motors, capacitor-start/run AC motors or inductive loads like halogen or PL lamps, neon, etc.. Ask the manufacturer to confirm if their motor is suitable for control using a Phase Angle Regulation (PAR) style controller BEFORE you buy this product! The motor controller should have an output load capacity at least 25% above the motors peak power requirement. Please do NOT rely on motor rating plates for power consumption figures as they often quote average not peak power. You should verify the actual peak power at start-up and under full load before selecting an appropriate size motor controller.
