This 8-Channel PC Controlled Relay Board WITH BOX performs the same function as our earlier project Order Code 3074 but is supplied with a high quality plastic enclosure and detachable screw terminal blocks for the relay connections.

This PC relay board provides independently programmable 24/7 timer control for each of the eight onboard relays. Relay outputs can be used to automatically turn On/Off lights, motors & other devices around the home, office, laboratory or factory. The software interface is compatible with Windows 95 to 10 (32/64-bit) and allows you to program and save an infinite number of On/Off sequences. Alternatively, you can write your own software with a DLL from logix4u (see EPE Magazine Tutorial for more details).

Each output is capable of switching resistive loads up to 240Vac*/24Vdc @ 5 amps max and have high quality detachable screw terminal block connectors. (*NB The relays are rated to switch up to 240Vac mains voltage but the exposed screw terminal block heads would need to be placed inside a suitable enclosure to prevent exposure to hazardous voltages).

Can be used with any PC parallel port on a 286 upward (remember thoseΩ).

All components provided including a high quality case with pre-punched and silk screened front and rear panels to give the product a professional and attractive finish as shown in the photos.

NB If this board is powered up and connected to the computer, all of the relays will momentarily turn on when the PC first boots up. If this is a problem, please look at our 8-Channel Serial Port Isolated IO Relay Controller instead.
