General purpose RS232 serial port IO controller board with 8 relay outputs and 4 opto-isolated digital inputs for use in a wide variety of control and sensing applications including load switching, external switch input sensing, contact closure and external voltage sensing.
The eight relay channels provide output control and are independent of the digital input channels giving you the flexibility to setup the linkage any way you choose in the control software.
Simple ASCII text command-set to turn one or all relays on/off and poll status of one or all inputs plus setting of relays using a single hexadecimal number e.g. entering "R55" turns relays 1,3,5,7 ON and 2,4,6,8 OFF. New "A0" command returns status of all relays and inputs. See User Manual link below for full details.
The 3108 hardware itself is NOT programmable and has no memory. The hardware acts in response to commands sent to it by RS232 serial interface. After acting on an instruction, the board will remain in that state until a new command is received (even if the comms connection is broken and re-established).Features
