This kit comprises two boards. One has both a Touch Plate (with a single contact plate) and a Contact Switch (that uses two contact plates). The second board carries the switching circuitry and a latching relay output (Relay Datasheet).
Simply touch the appropriate pad to turn lights and other mains appliances ON/OFF. Useful for disabled people. The switching PCB can be positioned away from the contact plate PCB for remote control applications.

The Contact Switch only needs a battery to power it but the Touch Plate requires a power supply like kit 3004 or 660.446UK. Ideal for education (demonstrates IC's in flip/flop switching applications).
For a momentary delay action touch activated switch please see our 3137 board.
